Sinopsis / Synopsis

1983. Estado de emergencia en Ayacucho (Perú). El Comando político-militar instala su base de operaciones en el Cuartel General «Los Cabitos». Este cuartel se convertirá pronto en un centro clandestino de detención, tortura, desaparición forzada y ejecución extrajudicial de civiles considerados sospechosos de formar parte de Sendero Luminoso.

1983. State of emergency in Ayacucho (Peru). The political-military command sets up its base at Los Cabitos headquarters. These barracks soon turn into a clandestine centre of detention, torture, enforced disappearance and extrajudicial execution of Shining Path suspects.

LUIS CINTORA (Málaga, 20/09/1976). En 2010 estrena su primer largometraje documental: «Nómadas sobre ruedas: 100 días en Mongolia». Durante los siguientes años vive en Ayacucho, donde profundiza en el conflicto armado peruano con una serie de documentales sociopolíticos, entre los que destacan «Las Huellas del Sendero» y «El Expreso Cabanino» y que se difunden por prestigiosos festivales de cine de Latinoamérica. Cierra esta serie en 2015 con «Te saludan los Cabitos». En la actualidad, prosigue su actividad documentalista en temas de derechos humanos, conflicto y memoria en Latinoamérica.

LUIS CINTORA (Málaga, SPAIN 20/09/1976). In 2010 he released his first full-length documentary film, «Nomads on Wheels: 100 days in Mongolia». That’s the year he moved to Ayacucho where he investigated the Peruvian armed conflict through a series of sociopolitical documentary films, including «The Traces of the Shining Path» and «The Cabanino Express», which have been screened at prestigious Latin-American film festivals. In 2015, he concludes this series with «Welcome to Los Cabitos». He is currently continuing his investigation into human rights, conflict and memory issues in Latin America.
